With the assistance of Brazilian NGO SPVS, Souza Cruz is developing a green corridor in the tobacco-farming landscape of Paraná state, Brazil, and working with farmers to restore degraded land and promote maintenance.

Working in partnership with Fauna & Flora International and SPVS to analyse wood fuel production, use and supply of the contract farmers in Souza Cruz’s operating areas in Brazil, and addressing the continued use of native forest in tobacco curing.

Restoration of native forests owned by Chiletabacos

Assisting Chiletabacos, in conjunction with the Universidad de Concepcion, to create and implement a management plan to convert 80 hectares of eucalyptus plantation adjacent to its Casablanca factory back to native forest.
